ABOUT US

The Joondalup Lakers Basketball Club is a junior domestic club associated with the Wanneroo Basketball Association. We have teams for boys and girls from under 8's to under 18's.
​
We play both the summer and winter seasons with breaks over the school holidays. Games are played at various venues on a Monday night (under 18's), Friday night and a Saturday during the day.
​
Each team gets an hour of training every week (except during holidays) at either Heathridge Leisure Centre, ECU sports hall, the new Wolves stadium, HBF Arena, Craigie Leisure Centre, St Stephen's School, Duncraig Leisure Centre and Woodvale Senior School.

We supply our players with their singlets which are returned when a player leaves the club.
​
We are also registered with KidSport which enables eligible Western Australian children aged 5-18 years to participate in community sport and recreation by offering them financial assistance towards club fees. Please see our information page to download the brochure and KidSport Application Form.

VOLUNTEERS
We are always looking at ways of fundraising in order to update our singlets, put towards our end of season wind-up and purchase new equipment. We regularly fundraise by selling the Cadbury chocolate boxes, arranging Sausage Sizzles at Bunnings, team photos and any events where we can raise funds.
After the terrible loss of one of our Lakers players from Sarcoma, we run an annual event to raise money for research for this terrible disease that affects our young people. If you are interested in volunteering please contact
